The exhibition in the Starý Avion Gallery awaits, installed in smooth and warm cooperation with my curator Ľudko Petránsky, my husband Miloš Novák and my daughter’s friend Filip Chobor. All this, of course, with the great support of gallerist Janka Gappa Chrappová.

Vernissage outfit prepared, wine from the Purus winery chilling, refreshments served, tension and excitement rising. The first guests arrive before six o’clock, and then a whirlwind of hugs, joy, speeches, fantastic drumming, excitement…

I allowed my creativity to fully express itself and during last summer and autumn, I created, painted, drew… I let myself be carried away by my imagination or react to what was happening in the world. The result is represented by 30 works in various formats that I now show to the public.

When, after a few days, the adrenaline from the opening finally reached a normal level, other emotions came. Will people like the exhibition? Will anybody come to see it? The exhibited works are for sale, will there be any buyer?

Showing my works in public is like sitting in a window almost naked. I exposed my inner self, my perception of the world and myself. A lot of my energy and emotions are encoded in the works. And now they are embarking on a journey outside of my comfort zone. I couldn’t help but spit under the pressure of my emotions, doubts overtook me like an unwelcome guest.

Well, going your own way is not always easy. I am proud of every step I have taken in the last months. In a short period, I opened as many new doors as I had possibly not in years. And my exhibition at Starý Avion Gallery is a big milestone. I firmly believe that it is one of many more coming!
